Mother Rita Mary OSB

Sister Patience OSB, Leader of Oblates

The Sisters' open-hearted act of welcoming Oblates to share in their life and to learn from their example, laid the foundation for the Oblates of the Community of Christ the King to desire to continue as a group, rather than to disperse, thereby becoming, as if by a natural progression, the Oblates of Christ the King. Yet, just as this evolution had its roots in the Sisters' discernment - in their awareness of the movement of the Spirit in those who came to visit and to stay - the process of discernment continues as both gift and necessity, ensuring the ongoing life of the community in the freshness of each person's response to God.
